I am so excited to share my first Stitch Fix box with you guys! Since having my baby in June I hadn’t done much shopping. The thought of picking out clothes in a store and having to try them on my postpartum body while lugging around a nursing infant was not my idea of fun. So when I came upon a Stitch Fix review on Pinterest it caught my eye. Have a professional stylist pick out clothes that flatter your body type and mail them to your doorstep? Try them on in the comfort of your own home without the harsh fitting room lights and people glaring at your screaming baby? Sign me up! This sounded like the only way that I was ever going to get out of my maternity jeans.
I took the plunge and signed up! And it is LOVE! The concept of Stitch Fix is perfect for new moms. It is such a time saver, sanity saver and confidence booster. I think this was the first time I felt good about my post-baby body. I loved the way that I looked in my new clothes and I felt so stylish! My first stitch fix was so amazing that I kept it ALL! I was so excited when the adorable box showed up on my doorstep. It even came with a personal note from my stylist (thanks Rachelle!) and a style guide to show me how to wear the pieces. I am so happy to be able to share my new love of Stitch Fix with you & if you sign up using any links on this page I may be able to receive compensation via their affiliate program at no cost to you. Once you sign up you will receive a referral link & for everyone you refer you will receive a $25 credit! How awesome is that!? Refer a few friends and you have a free Stitch Fix!

Easy peasy! So let me show you guys my 5 pieces!
1. Bay to Baubles Nerida Stone and Feather Necklace- $28
I LOVE this necklace. I drive my husband crazy because I am so particular about my jewelry. He refuses to buy me jewelry for this reason- he’s scared that I will say I like it & then never wear it (Guilty!). So it was awesome to get a necklace that I truly loved. The length is perfect & the feather is so fun! I have basically worn it every day since I got my Fix!
2. Daniel Rainn Bilson Pleat Detail Blouse- $68
This top is so flowey and comfy and I think the color is perfect for fall. It is very “me”. Out of all of the pieces this felt like something that I would have picked up in a store, but the weird thing is that this is probably the item that I love the least- but I still love it! I think that is the best thing about Stitch Fix- you are forced out of your comfort zone and find that things you never would have picked out for yourself are things that you love and surprisingly flattering on your body type. This piece is a lot more than I would normally spend on a top. Like a lot more. I’ll explain the price breakdown why I decided to keep it.
3. Just USA Morrie Boyfriend Denim Jacket- $58
When I first pulled this jacket out of the box I thought I didn’t like it. Even after putting it on I wasn’t sure about it. I didn’t think I could pull it off. But I decided to live a little and I wear it for our fall family pictures and y’all- I am in LOVE. I think this jacket might be my favorite piece- I don’t know though- I love my jeans too! But I seriously love it. It feels like a great quality jacket that will last forever.
Side note- How cute is Boogs(my baby) in our family pictures?! I could just eat him up!
4. Max Threads Kelty Lace Trim Knit Top- $44
I love the lace details on this top. It feels beautiful and delicate. I really like that the back is longer and covers my behind (I’m all about that). It is soft and just comfy! Perfect top for the cooler weather.
5. Warp + Weft Mattie Skinny Jeans- $98
You guys. I have never spent this much on jeans before. I don’t think that I have spent half of that on jeans. I am a little on the frugal side, if you haven’t noticed. But these jeans fit like a glove. I just knew that they would be too small- I mean I can never find jeans that fit me when I pick them out for myself. But I shimmied into them and they actually buttoned. I was so happy I could have cried. After 4 months of not fitting into anything after having a baby I needed that win so badly! These jeans are super comfortable and I love the olive color. They are definitely a splurge but I felt like after all of these years of buying cheap jeans I deserved a pair of quality jeans. So worth it!
The $$$ Breakdown
There was one huge thing that encouraged me to keep all 5 pieces, because my frugal self really struggled with the price tags on a couple of pieces. The BEST thing about Stitch Fix is that if you keep all 5 of your pieces you get a 25% discount! Say what?! I was so excited when I read that because I was really struggling with was the price tag on the Bilson Pleat Detail Blouse at $68. But once I did the math, with the 25% discount, I was actually going to save money to keep the blouse! Win win. ♥
So here is the breakdown:
Subtotal- $296 Cue mini heart attack!
25% Discount- ($74) Happy dance!
$20 Style Fee Refund- ($20)♥
This breaks down to $40 per item. I can handle that, especially for great quality clothes that I know will last for a very long time. It really is a great price for the quality of these pieces- especially the jeans & jacket! Those are a steal at $40.
My Stitch Fix delivery made my week and even my husband thought it was a cool idea. I mentioned to him that they now offer Stitch Fix Men (knowing there was no way he would be down for that) & he said “Really? I feel like I need some new clothes. Maybe I should try it out”. I was in shock. He basically wears khakis and polo’s every day, so I did not think he would like being surprised by his clothes. I was so excited that he seemed interested that I talked him into ordering a Stitch Fix Men box right then! It will be here shortly and I will do a Stitch Fix Men review for you guys as soon as it gets here. Complete with pictures of my adorable Hubs. ♥
I think this would also make a great gift for a friend or for the holidays- I mean who wouldn’t want a personal stylist to ship you clothes?! I know new moms would love to have this given to them. I would be so excited to get this as a gift! Click here to order a gift card & give the gift of style!
For those that want to try out Stitch Fix, you can click this affiliate link to check it out. Once you sign up you will get your referral code and if you refer any of your friends you will get your $25 credit. It’s so much fun and what do you have to lose? If you do not like the pieces, just send them back! I also reviewed my husbands first Stitch Fix here. Happy Shopping!
